2.6.4 goes gold!

In my continuing tradition of seeking out and obtaining new kernel releases before they show up on Slashdot.org, 2.6.4 is out.
Yay.

Stuff I need to sell

I don’t like to packrat idle hardware when it has some resale value and little reuse value.

Finally, tcng builds for me

There was a strange issue with gcc and -$, but apparently that wasn’t just me and the gcc changed out from under tcng. That’s been fixed now and it builds correctly on my platform.

Version 9k (28-FEB-2004)

Basic Solaris 8 networking

Now that you have that shiny new Solaris box, you want it on your LAN, right? Of course!
In order to get on the network, you will want a few things. First, you want your interface to come up at start up. (I’m assuming you want a static address.) Second, you want [...]

KDE 3.2.1 is officially out!

I’ve been running it since last night.
So much for Debian being slow. ;)
KDE 3.2.1 release stuff and the changelog which I’m sure everyone reads, right?

tcng time

I think its really time for me to setup and use TCNG. It owns.

KMail in 3.2.1 rocks!

Some of the new features in this release of KMail include (compared to KMail 1.5, which is part of KDE 3.1):
KMail can now be embedded in the Kontact container application.
Search Folders (a.k.a Virtual Folders)
As-you-type spell checking is supported.
Panel applet showing unread message totals.
Per folder duplicate mail removal
Drag and drop support of messages onto the composer

What a mess

I have hardware all over the floor. I still haven’t been able to obtain a new 3Ware card. I’m stuck running RAID 0 on ide1 of Nebula. I’m about to shutdown that box and remove the evil Dell mainboard and PSU and replace it with my L7S7A2, even though my opinion of [...]
