My Dell ATX to ATX converter arrived, so its time to migrate the backup server to a slightly newer mainboard. Hopefully this will resolve my Gigabit issue and I’ll be able to consistently sustain 16MB/s both to and from the backup server.
I’m going to take the old board and build a new firewall with it. I can’t jeopardize my current firewall’s uptime, so I’m just going to replace the box completely and leave it running on a different IP… It’ll probably sit there until I move.
