Debian and java-package

Arslinux.com has a nice WiKi entry on installing Java under Debian with something a bit like dh-make-perl or kernel-package, called java-package. You pull down the official Java JRE from Sun and transform it into a nice Debian package.

There’s a bunch of other Debian related stuff too, like cloning a source machine’s installed packages on a target machine.
