I really hate FedEx. That company drives me nuts. They will never just leave a package. Just leave it. No, really. Leave it. No, I don’t want to sign for it in person, I have a freaking job and no one is here to sign for it.
Now I have to drive all the way to the warehouse to pick it up. What a waste of my time. What’s even better, it’ll be on the truck tomorrow because by the time I get home there’s no one to talk to about it. So I can’t even pick it up until Monday. Meanwhile, the item has rebates outstanding I can’t fillout without the UPC! Thanks FedEx. You suck!
Oh, and it gets better. Because this item was shipped with the Home Delivery Service the driver must fail to deliver the package three times before you can pick it up at the warehouse. I just love this! Given the choice, I will absolutely never use FedEx in any capacity. This is just pathetic customer service. And I had to pay shipping for this item — it wasn’t even cheap shipping!
Update, February 24th. That’s just brilliant. FedEx pestered one my neighbors to accept the package on my behalf. That’s just spectacular. If I wanted it delivered to another address; if I wanted someone else inconvenienced on my behalf; I would’ve had the packaged shipped to another address!!! I can’t believe this cost me $5. What a ripoff FedEx is. Ship with someone else! Seriously, what does it say about a company when they can’t even perform their business function: to deliver packages. Delivery to someone else’s address isn’t me. So the status shouldn’t be marked as delivered. It wasn’t. FedEx, you failed at your core business function. Congratulations.
Update, February 27th. Wow, poor service never ends. They only deliver Tuesday through Friday with the pathetic Home Delivery Service. FedEx, you suck!
Update, February 28th. Amazing. They screwed up delivering it to the office yet again. Agent claimed delivery attempt, but no one was present. That is quite false, as I was there myself. Door never rang. Never saw a FedEx truck. That’s three failures at ringing the door in a row now. Disgusting.

Home delivery works Tuesday thru Saturday. Also drivers can driver release package if the shipper does not request signature services. They are at the mercy of the company shipping the package to a home address. If the shipper request this service then that is what is needed. If not then there is the ability to release. Please take in consideration that ultimately it was not FedEx’s choice to not leave package but shipper. As for the attempt to deliver to the neighbor that is simply trying to attempt to get you your package without it going back to the station and potentially causing you delays. Trying to do the right thing.
I am in the same hell. I told fedex when I would be home and able to accept delivery and instead of following instructions I get FEDEX to keep leaving door tags when I won’t be there. I talked with about 10 customer service reps and each time they appologise but don’t help. This morning I was told FEDEX would deliver but the website states my package is held at the warehouse. If I wanted to pick up the item I would have bought it at a store instead of online. FEDEX thanks for wasting my time.
