It took my box a while, but it seems I finally hit a routing cache issue in 2.6.9. It seems the cache overflows.
Someone on LARTC tracked it down and posted a notice with his findings in December. A post that sounds similar recently appeared on LKML, too.
dmesg:
dst cache overflow
printk: 202 messages suppressed.

I finally parted with my GeForce4 440 MX SE, 420 MX PCI, and Sapphire 9600 SE. The latter was fanless and quite nice. It sold for 66% of what I paid for it a year later. I also parted with a 3Ware Escalade 7410, my AMI MegaRAID, an older Adaptec UW, and [...]
The box hung again last night. No messages anywhere. Last time it happened after some kind of cfq scheduler error. I thought it was a good time to compile 2.6.11 with Con Kolivas’ 2.6.11-ck2 patchset. CITI’s 2.6.11 patches for NFSv4 applied cleanly on top, which includes all Trond Myklebust’s NFS [...]
Configuring BASE for Snort on Debian GNU/Linux was surprisingly easy. A little familiarity with using MySQL grant syntax and policy is needed. The rest is smooth sailing if all the tools are on the same box, and only a bind away if MySQL is listening only on 127.0.0.1 and needs to be listening [...]
I think I’m a few years too late, but I finally picked up a Ti4200 for $49 on Ebay. The one I found had been modded fanless. Very nice. I have X running with the NVidia driver with TwinView configured. Took a little tinkering to get things back to the way [...]
I finally decided to take a few moments and setup autofs. I thought about using supermount but that appears to have fallen much out of favor. At the moment it’s still maintained by Con Kolivas though.
I based on my configuration on a nice, green guide I found.
faith:~# cat /etc/auto.master
/var/autofs/media [...]
I picked up my 20GB replacement from Fedex today. Toshiba was nice enough to honor their warranty and send me a replacement.
I swapped it into my media laptop and booted up Debian Installer. I walked through the installation and recreated my LVM configuration at which point I saved my changes and aborted the [...]
The Debian package of Dirvish presently ships with a master.conf example that includes an exclude for core files. Unfortunately, by dumb coincidence, it also excludes drivers/usb/core/usbcore.ko which is rather critical for many things, including USB itself.
Of course I discover this after finishing a three hour recovery using DI to rebuild my LVM’d laptop. [...]
X has been slowly dying away on my laptop of late, windows disappearing when I select them. I finally managed to get to the console this time before it simply froze. The disk is indeed finally failing. I was surprised it seemed fine with all the noise it has been making, quite [...]
Oops. That’s why active FTP wasn’t working. I knew there was something strange going on. I so rarely need to initiate an FTP session, they weren’t working for six months and I only just now noticed it.
