There's no relationship between a QIF and a OFX. However, you should be able to simply import the QIF file directly without any need to mess with anything. The OFX contains additional data which makes it preferable though.

OK - I totally re-figured it out as you said (by using a QXF file to start and opening in TextEdit).

I could have sown I was able to convert QIF's to QBO's the same way... ?

Do you know if that can be done?

Thanks in advance and happy new year!

Thanks for your quick reply, Jason. I do have both available (OFX and QFX) but when I cannot remember how to open them so that the text is editable..

This is so frustrating because I totally was able to do this on 08/03/11 and it really made my life easier. I no now am trying to catch up on all of 2010 and if I can figure out how to do this again it will save me days! Thank you in advance for your help. --Sharina

Well, you need to download the transaction file with either the OFX or QFX extension, first. The QIF file is for Quicken, not QuickBooks.

Jason?! Are you there?

This worked for me before (back in August) but now I have forgotten the first step and cannot find the answer in any of these comments...

Can someone please remind me how to get the illustrated fields in order to edit them? I am using a MAC and managed to figure it out using this blog back in August. But now I cant remember how to open the QIF file in order to change the BIN field. When I open "using" TextEdit, it just displays the transactions in a disorganized fashion... Tried dropping in Terminal as well and I just can't remember how to get to the first step..

""Yan Li devised a script that will correctly power down a USB drive so it can be safely removed. It works great with my WD Passport. ""
And the script is? ...

""It’s necessary to install the sdparm package for it to work, but otherwise works out of the box under Kubuntu 10.10.""

I run Kubuntu 11.10 and can't delete a corrupted file from my 1TB WD passport HDD. Can't safely remove usb either.

So, what are u suggesting?

Yes, Werker has a bad reputation due to many faulty batteries. Its B+ brand. When you are as big as they are, there is not much care for ALL sold items to be fully charged or not sold. I found a site that is a distributor of Fiamm batteries that said all batteries go thru quality checks prior to shipment.

The best way to show your frustration with a product, is find a comparable product & buy from them instead. To those who are satisfied with Werker/B+, stay & support them. To those who are less than satisfied, find other stores, compare pricing, shop elsewhere.

This is a great XP machine.
Vista sucks by itself, regardless of the machine using it.
Just throw xp on your box and it should be golden.

I have had the T5082 for years with no issues but I did install 2 gig ram from the get go. I have been able to play WoW on it but not DC universe. With TOR coming out I want to upgrade the graphics card to run it. Can I get a graphics card with out upgrading the PS? Or do I have to do both no matter what? Any suggestions on what I can get? I see many different cards in the thread but most don't say if and what PS they installed. I know not every PS will fit in a emachine from looking at other sites...any advice would be appreciated.
